A Venlo glass greenhouse built as a multi-span gable structure on a hot-dip galvanized steel frame. Gable spans run from 8 to 10.8 metres and total height from 4 to 5.3 metres. The covering is 4 mm or 5 mm float glass, or 5 mm tempered glass, giving light transmittance above 90 percent. Roof and side vents, outside and inside shading, cooling and heating, irrigation and benches can all be fitted before delivery. Widely used for cut flowers and pot plants, and for other crops that need high light levels through the year.
A Venlo glass greenhouse is the standard choice when light is the limiting factor. The structure is built as a multi-span gable roof on a hot-dip galvanized steel frame, glazed with float or tempered glass so that light transmittance stays above 90 percent. That combination suits cut flowers and pot plants, which need high, even light through the whole year rather than the diffuse light a film house provides.

The frame is hot-dip galvanized steel, assembled as a multi-span gable structure with spans from 8 to 10.8 metres and a total height of 4 to 5.3 metres. Glazing is 4 mm or 5 mm float glass, or 5 mm tempered glass for roof panels where extra safety is wanted. Aluminium glazing bars and rubber seals hold the panes and keep the house sealed against rain and wind.

Ventilation is provided by roof and side windows, and the house can be supplied with outside and inside shading as well as cooling and heating. For hot climates a fan and wet curtain system keeps the house within range, while inside shading reduces summer heat load and cuts winter heat loss. Irrigation, fertilization and benches can be fitted before delivery.

The frame is produced in our own factory, where tube is cut, pressed and drilled to drawing before galvanizing. Shipments are packed as metal structures, covering system and installation accessories, with the structure drawings and bill of materials prepared for each project. Customers are welcome to visit the factory before ordering.

The house is used for roses, chrysanthemums, orchids and other cut flowers, for pot plant production, and for vegetable crops that benefit from high light. Growers working with film rather than glass can compare our agricultural tunnel greenhouse, and crop-specific layouts are covered in the greenhouse for flowers range. For protected-cropping standards, NGMA publishes guidance for greenhouse manufacturers, and HortWeek reports on commercial glasshouse practice in Europe.

Roof and wall panels can be 4 mm or 5 mm float glass, or 5 mm tempered glass for extra safety. Light transmittance stays above 90 percent. Tell us your location and crop and we will recommend the glazing thickness and panel layout.
The multi-span gable roof gives even light distribution across the whole house, which matters for cut flowers and pot plants. The glass covering keeps light transmission high, and roof and side vents give effective natural ventilation without shading the crop.
The hot-dip galvanized steel frame is designed for a 15-20 year service life in normal agricultural environments, with a double-sided zinc coating of 200-275 g/m². Film covers are replaced every 3-5 years, while glass and PC panels carry their own manufacturer warranties.
The hot-dip galvanized steel frame carries a 10-year structural warranty covering structural safety, plus a 5-year warranty against corrosion perforation. It is designed for a 15-20 year service life. Film covers carry a 3-5 year UV warranty depending on grade.
Send your growing area, span and length, crop type and local climate. If you already have a layout drawing, that is enough to start. Our engineers then return a quotation with a structure drawing and a bill of materials.
